STS was established in 1994 as a joint venture company between SHIC and ST. Being professionally engaged in IC Assembly and Testing, STS is one of the most advanced assembly factories in the world.

STS is situated at Shenzhen Futian Free Trade Zone. By 2008, the total investment had reached US$ 600 million. The facility spreads over a land area of 37,100 sqm, total construction area 44,680 sqm. There are about 5000 staff working for STS. STS capacity reaches 24M units per day. In 2008, the overall capacity reached 8.5 billion units and the turnover was up to RMB3.45 billion.
